KENC’s NMDS seamlessly integrates with monopile grippers, connecting directly to the gripper’s doors. This synchronized movement ensures a smooth, efficient, and safe installation process without equipment collisions.

Durable and balanced basket design

The NMDS includes a specially engineered basket to deploy the hydro sound damper net. The basket, located under the monopile gripper, is lowered into the sea by 18 winches. Balancing the weight of the basket was essential—it needed to be heavy enough to counteract the buoyancy of the sound damper net yet light enough for the monopile gripper to handle effectively. This balanced design enables stable and reliable deployment in diverse marine conditions.
