Scope

Safe and efficient crew transfers offshore are essential for daily operations. Whether moving personnel between vessels or from a vessel to a platform, operators need a reliable boat landing system that performs in all sea conditions.

Challenge

Traditional offshore crew transfer systems often rely on cranes and manual handling. This increases operational risk, slows down transfers and limits flexibility, especially during rough weather. Van Oord was looking for a safer, crane-free and space-efficient solution.

Solution

We developed a next-generation Automatic Boat Landing System. The system uses a compact, hydraulically controlled mechanism that enables fast, automatic and secure transfers between vessels.

It was designed in two configurations to suit different vessel layouts:

• H-Type (Horizontal Configuration): Ideal for large vessels with limited deck space

• V-Type (Vertical Configuration): Designed for smaller vessels where space is limited

Both types offer the same level of reliability, automation and operational safety.
